. Beginning to intermediate Drum workshops
None are scheduled at this time.
Workshop focus: hand positions for base, tone, and slap, hand control for right and left handed drummers on the djembe or ashiko, playing with balance, timing, how to mix and layer patterns and play together certain types of drum and bell patterns, how to properly play basic patterns for the heartbeat bass drum (dun drum), and how to play more than one dun. I include how to solo and jam exercises and introduce rhythms designed to push one to the level of intermediate.
I suggest this workshop if you have attended drum workshops but still feel that you need to work on basics. As a matter of fact every beginner should attend as many drum workshops as possible. There is something to be learned in each. .
